Job’s

Do you think it’s useful for students to hear about people’s jobs?

In my opinion, it depends on the age of the students. At the younger age, like 12-14 years, it’s really useful. Even when they are a little younger, it may be interesting for them to see what, for example, their parents do for a living, but it’s not necessarily useful.
At the age of 13, the students don’t know what kind of profession they want to have, so they can benefit from the adults and decide, which way they want to go. They have the chance to experience a lot of different professions, so they can tell, what kind of professions are good for them.
But after this process, at the age of 14-16, the students know, what job they want they want, or at least which way they want to go, so it’s pretty unnecessary to heat about other people’s jobs. Maybe it’s interesting for them, to hear about other people’s experiences with their jobs, but it’s possibly useles. However, many 16 years old students exist, which have no idea what they want to be as adults. Of course, it’s still useful for them, to hear about different jobs. But at the end of the day, we are all different. For some it’s useful, for some not.
